Misfit Treatment Style

Every client interaction, counseling session, or evaluation is a reflection of MAC's commitment to our central values of Empathy and Positive Engagement. What do we mean by this?

  • Empathy on an organizational level is the recognition that individuals possess a diverse narrative and are not defined by behaviors or singular events. In all affairs we strive to recognize a client's humanity before the legal and social labels they carry.

  • Positive engagement or Intervention is an approach based on recognizing and celebrating clients in their process. Treatment is not regarded as an instrument of compliance but instead as a means to build community, alleviate isolation, and share victories. MAC's role is to redefine mandated treatment as an opportunity for clients to grow, change, and live better lives.
